Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep
and
Desert Bighorn Sheep Hunts

We offer hunts for Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep and Desert Bighorn Sheep in Utah. To take this hunt you must draw a tag in the annual permit lottery (application deadline: late January) or buy a conservation permit at auction. Call us if you want to bid on a permit, and we can represent you at one of the banquets where permits go on sale. Hunts are 7 to 14 days. Expect to stay in a tent camp and to spend time glassing and hiking rough country. We scout extensively before the season and should have one or more trophy rams located before your arrival in Utah.

We offer desert bighorn sheep hunts in Sonora, Mexico. These hunts take place on private ranches. You can choose between a hunt on a large unfenced ranch where the rams typically score in the 150s and 160s with exceptional rams in the 170s. Or you can take a hunt on a high-fenced ranch where the rams typically score in the 170s, 180s and 190s. Some hunts include a base price plus a trophy fee. You'll have your own personal guide as well as a video cameraman and assistant guide. Accommodations vary from ranch house to tent camp, depending on the area you wish to hunt. Call for prices. Rates vary according to preserve or ranch. Expect to spend about $50,000, sometimes less, sometimes more. Some hunts include a lower base fee plus a trophy fee based on horn size. We hire guides familiar with the ranch you'll be hunting, and then we have one of our associates accompany you to provide additional glassing expertise and packing help.
